"Every flower blooms in its own time." 🌸👘 . . A little reminder that it's okay to grow at your own pace. Not everything that you see on social media is the truth. Stop comparing your everyday life to someone's highlight reel. You're doing the best that you can. And that's definitely something worth recognizing. So take a moment, and just breathe. . . On a lighter note, if you're going to visit Japan anytime soon, I'd definitely recommend renting a kimono for a day! It's a one-of-a-kind experience, especially if you're going to be visiting some more historical structures and buildings. They're offered in many parts of Japan, but the one that I went to is @yae_japan, which is right next to the Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa, Tokyo. Though it's a bit pricier than a few of the other vendors near the temple ($55 USD for women, $53 USD for men), the customer service was excellent, and they also have such a wide selection of clothing, as well as several hairstylists too! Another big plus - they speak English, Cantonese, and Mandarin! *This post isn't sponsored, and I paid for my kimono experience out of my own pocket.

I can’t be-leaf it’s already #Thanksgiving 🍂☕️ Time to start contemplating what I’ve actually done with my life these past 11 months 🙃 . . Jokes aside, though, I really can’t believe that it’s going to be 2020 soon! Did you accomplish all of your goals this year? What are some of your things you want to achieve in the new year? . . To all of my friends in the US, Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy the day with your family, friends, and loved ones! Thankful for each and everyone of you! 🧡🦃 . . #blueboxbebes
“The journey of a thousand miles begins with the right shoes.” 🙃 #lulusambassador #lovelulus . . Interrupting the Japan feed for a moment because I’ve been obsessed with these white ankle boots from @lulus! Aren’t they gorgeous? . . On a more serious note, though, if you’re hesitant about a new opportunity, career, or project, the best thing you can do is to just… START! Yes, things may not be “perfect” yet and maybe you’re not as “well-prepared” as you want to be, but if you keep waiting for the right moment, it’ll never come. Sometimes, you just have to make these moments yourself ✨ . . wearing: boots from @lulus - gifted (style 659882) // more colors available
🌺 May the flowers remind us why the rain was so necessary. 🌧 . . This was literally one of the dreamiest exhibitions I’ve ever seen! @teamlab_borderless was definitely at the top of my list when I first booked my trip to Japan, and all of the different displays did not disappoint! . . All of the travel guides that I read definitely did not prepare me for the crowds, though, since there were a lot more people than I originally expected. There were a lot of rowdy groups who lessened the experience for me because a lot of them weren’t respectful of the whole experience and were using the exhibits as slides or even as a playground 😔 If you do end up going, I’d really recommend going earlier in the day to avoid the crowds! . . The exhibits are dynamic, so no one photo ever really comes out the same, which is what I love about @teamlab_borderless. To capture the perfect photo, though, patience is really the key. We waited about half an hour for all of the “rain,” and I basically hogged this spot for the duration of time too 😅
Took a short break from social media, but I’m back! 😄 Commencing the Japan feed - now! . I didn’t originally intend to take a break from social media, but once I got to Asia, I wanted to fully enjoy my trip, so I decided to only update my Stories over the course of my vacation. It honestly felt so good to not have to worry about engagement, how many likes and comments I was getting, and if I was losing any followers. It really helped me reset and think about why I started this journey in the first place. . I’ll slowly start posting all of my Japan and Taiwan photos, but I’m currently going through some very personal things in life that need more of my attention, so I won’t be posting as often as I used to. I’ll still try my best to reply to you when I get the chance. During this time, though, I’m super thankful to all of you who’ve stayed with me and all of you who’ll continue to support me ❤️ Love you all!
