"And she will be the light your darkness has longed for." . . @teamlab_borderless's Forest of Resonating Lamps was one of my favorite exhibitions! The lamps are interactive, and when a person stands still next to one of them, it'll shine brightly and emit a random color that changes depending on what time you enter the exhibit. . . One of my favorite parts about this experience is how the lamps all light up the darkened room, and it really reminds me of how there's both light and dark inside of us. Both of these parts are important in making us who we are, and one can't exist without the other. . . #blueboxbebes
"Mirrors show us what we look like, not who we are."
.
.
A beautiful person may not necessarily be good, but a good person is definitely beautiful. A reminder that outer beauty will capture the eyes, but inner beauty will capture the heart.
.
.
Going back to my travel recaps - before coming to Japan, I saw so many cool photos of Tokyu Plaza in Omotesando Harajuku, and I just knew I had to visit the glass and mirror entrance too! On the morning of our planned shoot, we arrived about fifteen minutes before the shopping center opened, in order to avoid the crowds.
.
.
Due to the structure of the building and the amount of people that were also taking photos, it was really hard to create the exact image that we originally had in mind, but the photos that we did end up capturing were still beautiful and unique. And that's one of the most important things that you learn through traveling - even though some things may not go according to plan, it doesn't mean it's not meaningful or special in its own way.
"Every flower blooms in its own time." 🌸👘 . . A little reminder that it's okay to grow at your own pace. Not everything that you see on social media is the truth. Stop comparing your everyday life to someone's highlight reel. You're doing the best that you can. And that's definitely something worth recognizing. So take a moment, and just breathe. . . On a lighter note, if you're going to visit Japan anytime soon, I'd definitely recommend renting a kimono for a day! It's a one-of-a-kind experience, especially if you're going to be visiting some more historical structures and buildings. They're offered in many parts of Japan, but the one that I went to is @yae_japan, which is right next to the Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa, Tokyo. Though it's a bit pricier than a few of the other vendors near the temple ($55 USD for women, $53 USD for men), the customer service was excellent, and they also have such a wide selection of clothing, as well as several hairstylists too! Another big plus - they speak English, Cantonese, and Mandarin! *This post isn't sponsored, and I paid for my kimono experience out of my own pocket.

I can’t be-leaf it’s already #Thanksgiving 🍂☕️ Time to start contemplating what I’ve actually done with my life these past 11 months 🙃 . . Jokes aside, though, I really can’t believe that it’s going to be 2020 soon! Did you accomplish all of your goals this year? What are some of the things you want to achieve in the new year? . . To all of my friends in the US, Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy the day with your family, friends, and loved ones! Thankful for each and everyone of you! 🧡🦃 . . #blueboxbebes
“The journey of a thousand miles begins with the right shoes.” 🙃 #lulusambassador #lovelulus . . Interrupting the Japan feed for a moment because I’ve been obsessed with these white ankle boots from @lulus! Aren’t they gorgeous? . . On a more serious note, though, if you’re hesitant about a new opportunity, career, or project, the best thing you can do is to just… START! Yes, things may not be “perfect” yet and maybe you’re not as “well-prepared” as you want to be, but if you keep waiting for the right moment, it’ll never come. Sometimes, you just have to make these moments yourself ✨ . . wearing: boots from @lulus - gifted (style 659882) // more colors available
