There’s been strangely large amounts of rain in LA this winter, and though I know all of this water is good for us, I also can’t wait for March and the start of spring!

It’s definitely not warm enough to start officially wearing spring clothes just yet, but I’m definitely starting to incorporate elements of spring into my wardrobe choices, and the easiest way to do so is through color!

Winter fashion mostly consists of varying shades of nudes, neutrals, and darks, but as transitional season rolls around, I never hesitate to add some subtle pops of color into my wardrobe (even if I’m still dressed in weather-appropriate pieces)! Read on to see what my favorite colors are!

1. Nothing More Spring Appropriate than Pale Pink

Needless to say, pale pink is the epitome of perfection when it comes to spring ensembles, don’t you agree? The color is so soft and feminine, and it’s such a great way to add a pop of “spring” to an outfit. When I’m wearing this color during the colder months, I like to pair it with a darker shade of burgundy or even white, so the pale pink doesn’t stand out too starkly against all of the darker winter color palettes.

2. Fifty Shades of (Light) Grey

Though I love my darker greys during the colder months, I like to lighten up my color palette as the weather warms up, and there’s no better way to do it than by switching over to a lighter grey tone. Whether it’s through coats or bottoms or even shoes, a pop of light grey helps to add a touch of lightness to an ensemble, making it perfect for warmer days.

3. Don’t Forget Classics Like Rose Gold

And of course, when it comes to jewelry or accessories, don’t forget about rose gold! While gold and silver are more “common” and “popular” choices, rose gold adds a nice little touch of femininity to an ensemble through the subtle glimmers of pink.
