The Best Shampoo & Conditioner for Your Hair Type with Formulate

“Everyone is unique.” The same could be said about hair. Depending on genetics, haircare routine, and the environment we live in, hair can be radically different from one person to the next. That’s why it’s important to use haircare products that are based on your hair type.

The personal care industry, however, has one major flaw. While there many products for different hair types, it’s created for a general audience, but you may have hair concerns that aren’t addressed by the shampoos and conditioners that are currently in the market.

For instance, I have fine, color treated hair that also suffers from slight damage due to my love for the curling wand. There isn’t really an “all-in-one” product that is catered for all of my needs. Instead, I have to use a volume-enhancing shampoo when my fine hair is feeling flatter than usual. But on days where my colored locks aren’t looking as vibrant, I turn to my blue / purple shampoos. And of course, on days when my hair is drier than normal, I’m always reaching for deep conditioners to help restore some hydration. Needless to say, my bathroom is definitely cluttered with one too many bottles of shampoo and conditioner.

This is why I’m so excited to work with Formulate as they introduce their perfectly engineered, customized shampoos and conditioners to you all. With a team of industry-leading chemists and engineers, Formulate created technology that custom-formulates hair-care products based on your unique characteristics, goals, lifestyle, and environment. With their shampoos and conditioners, you won’t have to give up any one aspect and can have one set of shampoo and conditioner to take care of all of your needs and struggles.

Through a small test that helps the Formulate team pinpoint your hair type and struggles, they will then help to put together a product that is unique to you. For my shampoo and conditioner, I wanted to design something that will take care of my fine, color-treated, damaged tresses, so the main ingredients helped to lengthen, prevent thinning, color protect, and replenish and hydrate hair.

After receiving the products, I’ve gone on to use it for the past few weeks, and needless to say, my hair definitely feels a lot healthier and stronger. One of the things I love most about the shampoo is how I don’t have to use too much to have a rich lather, which is definitely different from the normal drugstore shampoos that I use. This not only means that I waste less product, I feel that it’s also healthier for my scalp since I’m not overwhelming it with too much products.

Though the conditioner definitely didn’t feel as hydrating as what I’m used to with drugstore conditioners, I noticed the difference it made to my hair a few days after use – my fine hair was no longer limp, lifeless, and flat. Instead, my tresses felt hydrated, but at the same time, there was so much more life and volume added to my hair overall!

With a customized formula, I was able to address every single one of my hair concerns for healthy hair that’s vibrant and luscious! This is why I’m so impressed by Formulate – they’re able to offer customized haircare products so that we don’t have to struggle with our hair insecurities anymore! And some other big pluses – the packaging is so clean and simple, and they also smell amazingly fresh!

I also wanted to give you all a chance to win a set of personalized shampoos and conditioners too! There will be one winner who will receive a customized set ($59 value), and all you have to do it click on this link to enter! Winner will be announced in two weeks! 1. Girl!!! How gorgeous does your hair look though!! ❤
I'd never say it's fine (as in thin). It looks so full and healthy!
Mine is super fine and over processed so I have been upping my hair care game. Though I'm not sure whether it's possible to revive my hair only with hair care goodies. Think a big chop is needed to fix that lol.
    These products sound wonderful!

  2. Thanks for sharing with us this recommendation. My hair has been pretty damaged from all the bleaching and dying I’ve done over the course of the past 4 years and I’m always on the hunt looking for products to help hydrate and nurture my hair. I’ll have to give this brand a try.
