How to Wear Dusty Pink in the Fall

When you think of fall, dusty pink is definitely not the first color that comes to mind. Actually, this romantic blush tone might not come to mind at all, right?

At first, I was a little hesitant to incorporate this color into my fall wardrobe as well, since I typically associate pink with spring, but believe it or not, this dusty rose color can definitely work year round! Read on to see how I style this romantic shade of pink for the autumn as well!

1. Opt for Sophisticated Fabrics

When I think of fall and fashion, I’m consumed by an air of sophisticated elegance. Not only does the cooler weather make it perfect for styling wool, knits, or cashmere, the classiness of the season makes fabrics like satin and chiffon super wearable as well. While satin evokes a sophisticated and chic vibe, chiffon is a little more laidback, since it’s feminine without being overly formal, especially in a dusty rose color.

2. Don’t Forget the Feminine Details

If I haven’t stressed it enough in my previous posts, then believe me when I say it, details make all the difference when it comes to just about any outfit. I could’ve stopped at just a chiffon blouse, but then what’s the fun in that?

Instead, I couldn’t help but pick out a blouse with exaggerated yet feminine details, since this “over-the-top” silhouette stands out so vividly, and yet it’s still timeless enough for the autumn. With its larger-than-normal bell sleeves, regal lacy embellishments, and sensual peekaboo details on both the front and back of the blouse, this shirt definitely stands apart from a typical button down, don’t you think?

3. Pair with Black and White

And of course, nothing is more classic than black and white, so why not pair this dusty rose tone with this timeless color combo? If the whole ensemble was composed of this romantic pink color, then it really may risk looking like a spring outfit, but with a careful balance of both black and white, the look is instantly grounded, making it the perfect autumn color palette.

To match this sophisticated top, I couldn’t think of anything more classic than a pair of black trousers. In a wide-legged, high-waisted silhouette, this ensemble is instantly elevated for an elegantly feminine look. And of course, I couldn’t help but pair this look with my favorite white heels from Zara, since the pointed-toe streamlines my whole silhouette, making the legs appear even longer than usual.

  1. As for myself, dusty pink & white pairings are more for spring and summer, but dusty pink paired with black, as You did in this post, indeed is such a great combination for fall and winter ๐Ÿ™‚
