If there’s one article of clothing that I can’t give up even though I’ve “grown up,” it’s definitely a graphic tee! I know what you’re thinking – a graphic tee?! But it’s so plain and and maybe even a bit childish. Although I don’t necessarily disagree, graphic tees can definitely be stylish and trendy too! Read on to see why graphic tees never go out of style and why I’m never going to retire this wardrobe staple!
1. They’re Extremely Easy to Style
Graphic tees may not be the trendiest tops in the world, but that’s also why they’re so easy to style! Whether you wear it with jeans, shorts, or a skirt, a graphic tee manages to add an element of fun to an outfit, depending on what kind of print you choose.
If you’re opting for a more street style look, trying choosing tees that have louder messages on it. For a more youthful look, I usually for tees with cuter characters or logos.
2. They’re Super Versatile
Other than being extremely easy to style, graphic tees are also super versatile. Contrary to popular belief, there are actually different types of t-shirts, and it all comes down to… details.
Whether you want tighter sleeves or looser sleeves, a longer fit versus a cropped fit, the choices are seemingly endless, but at the same time, that’s what makes t-shirts so fun to wear!
When I want more of a street style look, I gravitate towards looser t-shirts, preferably shirts that fit more like a men’s tee. If I’m trying to create an ensemble that’s more feminine, I like to choose more fitted silhouettes, as well as colors, so it can brighten up the whole look.
3. They Make You Look Instantly 5 Years Younger (I Hope!)
And of course, last but definitely not least, there’s nothing quite like an adorable graphic print to make you look at least a few years younger, am I right?
Since I’m in my mid-twenties now, I’ve become a little obsessed with wanting to look younger, and there’s no easier way to start than by incorporating younger fashion choices into my wardrobe!
When I picked up this super adorable graphic tee from Uniqlo, I instantly knew that I wanted to create a fresh and vibrant look that’s youthful, but at the same time, not childish. Since graphic tees are so versatile and easy to style, I was able to effortlessly put together this feminine yet chic ensemble in a matter of minutes!
