Can you believe it’s the end of July already? I know I say this a lot, but this year really seems to be flying by so fast, right?
This July was full of fun times in the sun with good company, and I can’t quite get enough of those lazy afternoons reading a novel by the pool, or those slow and sweltering nights under the stars. I’m so glad summer isn’t over just yet because there’s still so much that I want to do!
As we step into August, let’s take a look back at some of my favorites from this past month, shall we?
1. John Frieda Hot Air Brush (1.5 Inch)
When it comes to my hair, I’m a pretty low-maintenance gal, and that’s evident in my tendency to avoid blow drying my hair, especially in the summer, since it can get unbearably hot in LA during the summer.
When I’m not air-drying my hair, though, I’ve picked up the habit of using this John Frieda Hot Air Brush on my locks, and I’ve been obsessed! With advanced ionic technology and two heat settings, this brush has been a staple in my daily routine because it helps to dry my hair without too much heat, giving it loads of volume and shine in the process! I typically use this after my hair is about seventy to eighty percent dry, and it really gives it an extra boost of volume and makes my locks super soft to touch! Another big plus – it doesn’t feel overbearingly hot, which is such a lifesaver during the summer!
2. MEMEBOX – I’M MEME I’m Eyeliner Long-Lasting in #002 Deep Brown
If you’ve been following me for awhile, then you know I’m more of a gel eyeliner type of girl. I find that liquid eyeliners tend to make my eyes look too sharp and mean, and I’m also not too big a fan of pencil eyeliners because they’re not long-lasting enough, especially in the California heat.
This eyeliner from MEMEBOX has definitely changed my mind about other pen liners because this budgeproof and long-lasting formula really stays on for the whole day! With a quick drying formula, this eyeliner gives such a precise line, creating a sleek and clean makeup look. Plus, the ultra-fine tip makes eyeliner look so natural too, which is a big bonus for me, since I usually opt for more natural makeup looks!
3. LANCÔME L’Absolu Lacquer in 378 Be Unique (Fuchsia)
As with every summer, I love switching up my makeup to match the fun vibrant nature of the season, and I’ve been doing this with this lovely lip lacquer from Lancôme. This new formula combines the comfort and shine of a gloss, the pigment of a lipstick, and the lasting power of a stain for a high-shine finish and vivid color! I’ve been loving this bright fuchsia color so much because it’s feminine and youthful, but at the same time, a bit sensual, making it the perfect choice for a summer lip color, don’t you think?
4. LANCÔME Tonique Confort Re-Hydrating Comforting Toner with Acacia Honey
Moving on from my makeup favorites, let’s start talking about some skincare! Just like you wouldn’t wear the same clothes all year round, the same can be said about your skincare! With changes in the weather, your skin is going to have different needs, so this summer, I’ve switched out my usual toner for this silky-soft moisturizing toner from Lancôme. Since this formula is made with honey and sweet almond extract, my skin always feels soft, fresh, clean, and comfortable despite the sweltering heat and dry weather conditions of California!
5. LANCÔME Hydra Zen Anti-Stress Gel Moisturizer
And of course, my skincare routine isn’t complete with a moisturizer, right? Other than my new toner from Lancôme, I’ve also been a really big fan of their Anti-Stress Gel Moisturizer as well, since it’s oil-free gel-cream formula is perfect for the summer. Infused with roses, which is one of my favorite ingredients for all of my skincare products, this lightweight, oil-free formula reduces fullness and signs of fatigue for radiant and healthy-looking skin. Plus, the salicylic acid in this gel-cream also helps to sooth redness and irritations, making the skin more resistant to environmental aggressors.
And that wraps up my favorites for the month! What were some of your favorites this July? Let me know in the comments because I always love hearing from all of you!

The hot air brush sounds like a really interesting tool that I’m going to want to look into. I try to be low maintenance with my hair as well so I avoid using heat tools whenever I can. I’ll definitely have to give this a try to give my hair more volume!
