When you think of summer and skirts, I’m sure the first one that comes to mind is definitely a mini skirt. Or a denim skirt. Or even a maxi skirt.
To be frank, I never thought I’d need a midi skirt in the middle of summer too, but after wearing them on a few semi-formal occasions, I’ve realized they’re honestly one of the easiest ways to elevate a summer look (without being too formal)!
Summer is always the season for lots of outdoors parties in lush gardens or breezy patio. While it may seem like a no-brainer to slip into a cocktail dress, I’ve found that midi skirts are a more effortless option, since they’re put-together without being too formal, making it the perfect transitional ensemble from a daytime look to a nighttime one.
Of course, aside from the midi length, attention to detail is what really elevates this outfit and sets it apart from other skirts of its kind! Playing along with the “paper-bag waist” trend that’s been super popular lately, I couldn’t help getting a midi skirt in this style too, since the high-waisted silhouette looks so flattering on all body types, don’t you think?
