2017 has truly been a year of such growth and experience. I first started this blog as a creative outlet at a time when I felt really lost, without a clear direction of what I wanted to do, where I wanted to go, but most of all, who I was supposed to be.
It was through this blog that I was able to find not only my voice, my confidence, my passion, and my joy, but most importantly, I was able to discover myself.
I’ve always loved being a creator, though this wasn’t a new discovery since I’ve enjoyed creative writing from a young age. But it wasn’t until I truly poured my heart and time in to this blog that I learned about my love for fashion and aesthetics as well.
It’s been a crazy, busy, and sleepless year, what with my full-time day job and my nightly blogging activities, but without a doubt, I wouldn’t have wanted this year to be any different. In juggling both of these responsibilities, I’ve not only learned so much about my determination, my strong willpower, and my perseverance, but I’ve also been able to become friends and connect with each and every one of you.
I can’t be more grateful for all of these blessings, and I wanted to thank you all so much for making all of this possible. It was truly a life changing year, with so much growth, both personally and for the blog, and I can’t wait to see what great things will come our way in 2018!
I rounded up some of my favorite looks from this past year, and I hope you enjoyed this little flashback (P.S. all of the photos are clickable and will link directly to the original blog post for outfit details)! Clothes to Youuu has definitely grown so much this past year, and I can’t be happier at all of the new opportunities, such as New York Fashion Week, challenges, and experiences in collaborating with so many different brands.
And with that, I just wanted to say thank you again, and leave you all with some words, especially for those of you who are going through various challenges and obstacles.
Be patient and persistent. Be courageous and determined. And most importantly, never lose hope and remember that sometimes, all it takes is a leap of faith.
HAPPY NEW YEAR LOVES!
