It’s officially November, and you all know what that means… Thanksgiving is right around the corner!
I’m sure all of you already have all of your Thanksgiving plans penned in to your schedules, and that includes, of course, Thanksgiving dinner! I’m so excited for all of the turkey and mashed potatoes that I’m going to be stuffing myself with, but the thing I’m most excited about is our big family reunion!
And though I want to look presentable, there’s nothing more important to me than comfort on Thanksgiving Day (because let’s be real, we’re all going to be too busy stuffing our mouths to our hearts’ content)!
That’s why today, I’ve come up with a fool-proof holiday outfit that’s both comfortable yet functional!
In choosing a top, I think this red silk off-shoulder top is perfect for the holidays because there’s nothing more comfortable on the skin than silk. With subtle lace details on the sleeves, this top is formal enough without being too conservative, since the lace gives off a feminine vibe. I also really like the off-shoulder neckline because it shows off one of my favorite features – the collar bone!
Paired with a high-waisted a-line skirt, the whole ensemble is sweet and girly, perfect for a family event! And the best part about the skirt – it hides the tummy, so feel free to stuff yourself with that second serving of turkey! 😀 If it’s colder where you live, feel free to throw on a pair of fleece tights to make sure you’re warm enough! And of course, with a pair of red suede ankle booties, the legs are elongated and the whole figure is streamlined for a feminine yet holiday appropriate look! 🙂
