Happy Halloween! I can’t believe today is the last day of October already! Though I’m definitely sad that the year just seems to be flying by, I’m also super excited about the fact that it’s almost Thanksgiving! π It’s my second favorite holidays of the year, with Christmas being the first, so this is definitely my absolute favorite time! I can’t wait!
As with every month’s end, here’s a roundup of some of my favorites from this past October! Enjoy! π
Skin79 Super Plus Beblesh Balm Triple Functions (Pink BB Cream)
First up is Skin79’s Super Plus Triple Function Pink BB Cream. If you’ve been a longtime reader, then you’ll know how obsessed I am with the Gold BB Cream from Skin79!
I love how Skin79’s BB creams are all so lightweight, yet they provide such great coverage, giving a very natural skin like texture. I’ve always loved the Gold version of the BB cream because it gives a dewy finish, but lately, I’ve noticed that my skin has become a bit oilier, probably due to the constant fluctuations in weather in LA, and the many heat waves that we’re still getting.
This is why I switched to the Pink version, which offers a more matte finish, complete with minerals to help with excessive sebum to prevent greasiness throughout the day. In comparison to the Gold version, I find that the Pink version really does help my skin stay more matte, but at the same time, the Vitamin C still provides a brightening effect that makes my skin vibrant and youthful, just without the dewiness.
Chica Y Chico Nude Fantasy Whitening Cream
My next favorite is a skincare product, and it’s none other than the Chica Y Chico Nude Fantasy Whitening Cream, which is a unique whitening cream that offers some level of coverage, without actually being makeup!
These types of cream are actually really popular all over Asia recently because they’re kind of a mixture of both both skincare and makeup. They’re not quite as heavy as tinted moisturizers or BB creams, but they still help to cover some imperfections and is so convenient to use, especially on off-duty days. The lightweight cream still has skincare properties, using a unique white flower-based complex, plus niacinamid, rice extracts, and titanium dioxide to moisturize and transform the skin by giving it a radiant glow. A lot of girls like to use this when they travel, especially on the plane, because it gives just enough coverage, but it’s not really considered makeup, which means that skin can still breath!
Clinique All About Eyes – Rich
Another skincare favorite of mine has been this moisturizing eye treatment from Clinique that helps minimize the look of dark circles, shadows, and puffiness.
This was actually a hand-me-down from my boyfriend because it was a little too rich for his skin, but I find that this brightening eye cream works well for me because it helps to diminish the look of under-eye circles, shadows, and fine lines. I like how the botanical ingredients depuff and calm the eye area, while also supporting natural collagen production and strengthening skin’s moisture barrier against common irritants.
Briogeo Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray
I’ve also had a haircare favorite this month, and it’s none other than this ultra lightweight leave-in conditioning spray from Briogeo. The spray helps to bring hydration and moisture to locks without weighing them down which is really important to me, especially since I recently trimmed my hair for a slightly shorter style, that’s easily weighed down by heavy products.
I love how this leave-in spray helps to hydrate and reduce flyaways by enhancing manageability, strengthening and protecting against heat and UV rays. Fortified with a unique blend of rosehip, argan, and coconut oils, this formula is non-greasy and is designed to seal the cuticle to restore luster and add shine! I love how soft, sleek, strong, and beautiful my hair feels afterwards!
#OOTD: Fashion Flat Lay Coloring Book by Laura Hickman
If you’ve been following me for awhile now, then you know that I really enjoy coloring, especially when I’m stressed because it really helps me destress. I have a variety of different coloring books, including a Good Vibes on from Typo, as well as Pusheen one, but this #OOTD: Fashion Flat Lay Coloring Book by Laura Hickman is my first ever fashion coloring book, and I can’t get enough!
There are so many pages of different fashion fat lays, and I love the different styles and outfit combinations! It not only helps me calm my mind, but all of the creative illustrations stimulate my creativity so much, inspiring my own personal style and outfit choices! If you’re looking for a good way to relax after a long day of school or work, I’d definitely recommend this!
Polaroid Notes: 20 Different Notecards and Envelopes by Jenifer Altman
My last favorite this month as been these super cute polaroid notecards from Jenifer Altman, a commercial and fine art photographer specializing in food, lifestyle, and still-life. Her photography is held in public and private collections across the globe, and her work has been published in several collaborative art books.
I love all of these beautiful photos that she captured and how they’ve been converted into little Polaroid notecards, complete with envelopes, making them the perfect little keepsake to write short and sweet notes to friends! They’re so cute, I might just keep some of for myself! π
And that wraps up my favorites for October! π Hope you enjoyed! What were some of your favorites this past month? And are you as excited about Thanksgiving and Christmas as me? Let me know in the comments because I always love hearing from you!
