Happy July! Oh my, I can’t believe more than half of the year is already gone! Where did the time go?!

I’m so sorry for not doing a monthly round-up for May! I’ve been super busy at work, since upper management has just launched some new projects and programs in the past few weeks. But have no fear because Q3 (July to September) is a little slower than the first half of the year, since it’s what we typically call the “calm before the storm” that is the holiday season haaaa… I’m not going to let that damper my mood, though, because… it’s finally summer! πŸ˜€

Although I’m not in school anymore and haven’t been a student for two or three years now, the thought of summer always puts a smile on my face because there’s just something about longer days and warmer nights that makes me think of sunshine and youth and freedom!

So, to kick off summer, here’s my first monthly favorites round-up for the season! Enjoy! πŸ˜‰

Versace Bright Crystal

If you’ve been a longtime follower of my blog, then you’ll know (from this blog post here) that I firmly believe the scent of a woman truly captures the true essence of femininity because fragrance is almost like clothes itself, as scents play a large part in to exuding your personality, individuality, and taste.

About two years ago, I tried Versace’s Bright Crystal, a fresh, sensual blend of refreshing chilled yuzu and pomegranate mingled with soothing blossoms of peony, magnolia, and lotus flower, warmed with notes of musk and amber, and I instantly fell in love. Although I love this floral perfume so much, in the past year, I’ve also added a variety of different scents to my collection as well (such as the ChloΓ© Eau de Parfum).

In the past few months, though, I’ve traveled more than I ever have, and I’ve rekindled my love with this fresh scent since I’ve been carrying around small, travel-sized versions of the perfume, reminding me that Versace’s Bright Crystal will always have a special place in my heart.

Caudalie Grape Water

Contrary to popular belief that the summer heat makes our skin oilier than usual, skin actually needs just as much, if not more, moisture than ever during the warmer months! Not only does the sun make skin more sensitive to weather conditions, I’ve found that always being in an air-conditioned environment, such as the office or school, can really make your skin dry despite the natural humidity outside.

This is why I’ve been super in love with Caudalie’s Grape Water and their 100% organic formula that improves hydration and diminishes skin sensitivity. The unique composition with mineral and active plant ingredients helps strengthen the skin’s barriers, making it more resilient and healthy over time. I love spraying this on before and after makeup application for healthy glowing skin, and I also love using it to help refresh and hydrate my skin throughout the day, especially if I’m going out to happy hour after work!

Etude House Precious Mineral BB Compact Bright Fit in N02 Light Beige

Though I’m a big fan of the dewy look, in the summer, I try to avoid it because I do tend to get oiler during the warmer months, so I don’t want to look like an oil slick.

While I usually use a mineral loose powder to set my makeup during the cooler months, I like to switch to this compact powder during the summer because it’s more mattifying. This powder is really no joke because it helps my makeup stay on my face, without any of the slipping and sliding that’s usually associated with summer makeup application. Just an FYI – I even used this powder while I was in Las Vegas just a couple of weeks ago, and it helped my makeup stay in tact throughout the whole day, despite the super high temperatures and humidity levels!

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Night Cap Overnight Perfector

One of the cons of having long hair in the summer is having to dry it after showering. Honestly, I’m super lazy, and most times, I like to let my hair air-dry as often as possible, though it does tend to get a little flat and unruly because of the humidity.

I’ve been using Living Proof’s overnight perfector recently, and I’ve got to say that I’m absolutely in love with this easy-to-use solution because it makes my hair so shiny, vibrant, and manageable, even when I air dry it!

I just put a nickel-sized amount to the wet ends of my hair, and after a night of sleep, my hair is instantly shinier! Formulated with amino acids that condition and protect strands, this power-packed formula intuitively targets and transforms hair to keep it soft, smooth, and supple, and I really see the difference when I’m getting ready in the morning because I spent significantly less time on doing my hair every morning this month, giving me a little more time to sleep in πŸ˜‰

And that wraps up my favorites for these last two months! I hope you all enjoyed! What were some of your favorites this May and June? Let me know in the comments because I always love hearing from you!
