It’s that time of the month again! Or more like it’s another month again! February definitely passed by in a big, huge blur (because, technically, there were only 28 days this month) 😛
This month has definitely been filled with lots of activities and events, with New York Fashion Week and everything, and with such a busy month, I almost forgot about my monthly favorites post! Hahaha that’s why this month, I put together a short list of some of the products that really stuck with my throughout this hectic February, so let’s get started!
Pony Effect Everlasting Cushion Foundation in No 21 Natural Ivory
My first favorite this month has got to be the Pony Effect Everlasting Cushion Foundation. I’ve been a huge fan of Pony for a long time and I was so excited to hear that she had her own line of makeup now! If you don’t know who she is, you should definitely check out her YouTube channel because she is AMAZING (trust me, she will change how you do your makeup forever)!
My best friend, Vicky from Vicky’s Scrapbook, actually got this cushion for me for my birthday, and I’ve been loving it so much! I used this a lot during NYFW because it’s just so convenient since it comes in a compact form, and the coverage for this foundation is really good! I love how it can make my skin look flawless in a matter of minutes, and that was exactly why I used it so much in New York because I was always in a rush! Another big plus – the packaging is so beautiful! With a squared silhouette, the angular edges are lined with rose gold against a chic black canvas for a sleek look. Definitely very classy!
Guerlain Météorites Illuminating Powder Pearls in No 02 Claire
Another makeup favorite of mine this past month was Guerlain’s Meteorites Illuminating Powder Pearls. First of all, the packaging is just so elegant and beautiful, don’t you think? 😀 The multi-color powder pearls are so pretty, and I love how with just a few swipes, my brush can pick up so much product to create an illuminating finish.
I’ve been using these powder pearls to set my makeup this past month, as opposed to my usual Innisfree setting powder, and I’ve got to say, the Guerlain Powder Pearls really give a brighter finish. It doesn’t make my skin look as matte as when I use my normal setting powder though, and while I know that some people don’t like the “glossy” or “dewy” look that much, I think this powder is great for those days when you want a little extra glow! It is a little on the pricier side for powder, but I definitely love how luxurious it makes my skin feel! 🙂 If you’re willing to splurge on powder, I’d definitely recommend this! Another big plus – it’ll look so pretty on your vanity!
L’Occitane Cherry Blossom Hand Cream
Since I’ve been traveling back and forth this past month from dry chilly Los Angeles to freezing cold New York, my skin has been a little dry, particularly my hands, but this L’Occitane hand cream has been my life saver! This is the travel-size version of the product, and that made it the perfect size to stash in my purse or in my carryon, so I had access to it whenever I felt like my hands were dry. It really helped keep my skin hydrated despite the weather conditions. The lovely scent is definitely a big plus too! Who can resist the delicate scent of cherry blossoms? 😉
essie Gel Couture Nail Polish in No 40 Fairy Tailor
I’ve been loving this soft, delicate pink nail polish so much! It’s super light and subtle, and it literally makes you look like you just got a French manicure, but that’s what I love about it! There’s just something about this kind of subtlety that makes it so understated yet chic, don’t you think?
Nature Republic Real Nature Mask Sheet in Rose
Since I traveled so much within these past 2 months, I can literally see the dryness on my skin, especially on my face. For a quick fix, I’ve been popping a sheet mask on to my face once a week, and this Real Nature Rose Mask from Nature Republic has been my favorite! I love how lightly scented it is, and this gentle soothing mask is exactly what my irritated dry skin needed. They’re super convenient and cheap too, so it makes for the perfect quick fix!
The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins
And of course, last but definitely not least, my favorite book of the month – The Girl on the Train! I know, I know, there were lots of controversial reviews about the movie, but I heard that the book was really good, so I wanted to read the book and really see what all of the buzz was about. I was about halfway through the novel before I watched the movie on the plane ride to New York (I couldn’t resist – it was right there T-T), and I have to say, the book is definitely better, though I loved Emily Blunt’s performance in there.
The story revolves around Rachel, a divorced alcoholic who takes the train on her daily commute in to the city, during which the train passes by her old home, which her ex-husband now shares with his new wife and baby. As the days go by, though, she becomes fixated by a couple that lives a few doors down from her old home because they seem to be the epitome of perfection in Rachel’s eyes… until something goes terribly wrong, and the woman in the so-called “perfect relationship” goes missing. The psychological thriller continues as they try to solve the mystery of the missing woman, and as Rachel gets more and more involved with the case, she realizes shocking and bone-chilling things about her ex-husband that she never knew.
And that’s a wrap on my favorites for February! 🙂 I hope you all enjoyed! What were some of your favorites this month? And are you excited about March? Let me know in the comments below! Always love hearing from you all!

I really love the Guerlain powder peals! I discovered them last year and the healthy glow they give to my face is amazing. Girl on the Train is really worth reading,I couldn’t take breaks from it because it’s so thrilling. The book is definitely better than the movie but I enjoyed Emily Blunt’s acting, too.

So many incredible favourites that I don’t even know what to start commenting on first 🙂 That’s why (because I was so behind – so sorry, lovely), I will start by saying – WOW, congratulations for being invited to NYFW!!! This is one of my biggest dreams and hopefully, one day I will get to go!
I feel like I MUST try that Pony cushion foundation as soon as I possible can. I’ve been using my MAC one (which I love) but it’s been a tad bit heavy for me recently. Those powder pearls look super lovely. I actually prefer the subtle glow instead of full-on sparkle/shine/shimmer thing.
Love The Girl On The Train book and loved the movie as well (Emily Blunt is my fave). And this post has also reminded me how much I need a little pamper time ❤
