It’s amazing how fashion always goes back and forth, with new trends coming and going daily, as well as old trends that keep resurfacing every few years or so.

Bomber jackets were a big thing in the early-80s, the mid-90s, and in the past two years , I’ve been seeing it play such a big role in fashion, especially since the athleisure, sporty chic trend has been all the craze.

I’ve been a big fan of sporty chic attire because it’s stylish but comfortable at the same time, but until now, even though I really loved bombers, I haven’t really committed myself to buying one because I haven’t found one that’s perfect for me until now.

While bombers are supposed to be retro, as they’re remnants of another time period, I still wanted it to incorporate elements of modernness to it.

What I love about this pale pink bomber is that the material it’s unlined, which is actually perfect for the bipolar weather that we have in LA. Likewise, the silky material of it is light and cooling to the skin, which makes it the perfect bomber for the warmer autumns in Southern California.

My favorite fun twist, though, are the slightly ruched sleeves, which give the funner and more girly silhouette to an otherwise androgynous bomber. Likewise, this feminine aspect matches the soft pink color perfectly too.

To play up the strips on the collar, sleeves, and hemline of the bomber jacket, I decided to keep my outfit in line with the athleisure trend, opting for a white crop top and a pair of my favorite workout leggings, balancing the pop of girly pink with ample amounts of classic black and white.

And of course, last but not least, I paired the whole outfit off with my new favorite pair of sneakers!

  1. When I saw this bomber my first thought was that it’s actually very girly (which I love!) because so many of them out there are quite androgynous, like you mentioned, honey. It’s not the worst thing, of course. But I prefer the feminine touch even while wearing all types of uni-sex clothing πŸ™‚ Not only I absolutely adore how you put this whole look together, but also how gorgeously you describe the way you did it!! I always enjoy your writing, love! ❀ Your beautiful personality and lovely character always shines through.
