Is it just me, or does the hot weather make you feel so lazy to dress up too? :O
It’s definitely summer here in LA (hello, 90+ – and sometimes 100+ – degree weather), and sometimes, it really makes me just want to go out in a tank top and some cut-off denim shorts.
Rather than fuss over so much of the details, I aim to take care of comfort over style because honestly, when you’re sweating just from breathing, the last thing you’re worried about is this season’s most banging trends and looking like you stepped out of a magazine (but then again, if you can do that while staying cool, more power to you)!
On days like this, I stick to graphic tees (usually with a loud message) because they’re easy to style and the fun print makes it a statement piece almost immediately. I’ve been loving this Olaf tee because first of all, who doesn’t love Frozen, and of course, I couldn’t resist the pun of wearing a snowman-print shirt in the summer (especially since Olaf’s message mentions that he’s melting)! 😀 Hahaha maybe I’m the only nerdy one who loves fun twists on words like this 😛
I paired it with a pair of my favorite black denim shorts because there’s just no way to wear jeans in this heat. Rather than sandals, I opted for my favorite pair of Nike’s to give the outfit more of a sporty chic vibe, and last of all, I threw on a denim shirt as a light cover-up (which can also work as another statement piece when tied around the waist) 🙂
While comfort is my main concern, especially during the summer, it’s easy to dress up any ensemble with the right accessories, just like how I did here with my sneakers and cover-up, for an instantly sporty chic, athleisure look.
