Happy Thursday loves!
Can you all believe another week has already passed? We’re already almost halfway through February (but then again, that’s maybe because February is such a short month) 😛
The weather in LA is pretty bipolar these days, with cold mornings and nights, but very warm afternoons. I can’t exactly wear super thick coats without feeling stuffy midway through the day, but if I go without one, it can get kind of chilly.
This is why I love sporting trenches because they’re light enough for the spurts of warmth throughout the day, but they’re also the perfect stylish cover-up as we slowly transition from winter to spring.
Though I love classic black trenches, like the one I have on here, I wanted to add a little pop of color back into my wardrobe as we gear up for spring. This mint colored trench is perfect for the upcoming weeks of transitional weather because the soft, pastel color just reminds me so much of all of the beautiful blooms that symbolize warmer days.
Due to the still-chilly weather, I opted for my new favorite white lace-hemmed sweater underneath the coat. And though the sweater has more of a boho chic vibe, I was able to style it by folding the sleeves of the sweater up to slightly cover the sleeves of the coat, giving the whole ensemble a more uniform refined look.
I love how one little tweak can instantly make the entire outfit sophisticated yet subtly chic. Paired with skinny pants (also rolled up at the leg to show some ankle), the whole look is very sharp and minimal, letting the coat’s bright pop of mint stand out beautifully.
To complete the whole ensemble, I opted for a pair of my favorite lace-up ankle boots because they elongate the legs and they really highlight the ankles. Paired with my navy satchel and a white watch, the entire look is very chic and minimal, yet youthful and refined.

I like the color of the trench haha… We’re not really slowly transitioning to spring though; it’s more like it’s suddenly spring for a week then back to winter. It’s really hard to pick out clothes in this weather lol
