From A Workout to A Day Out

Happy Thursday! It’s almost the weekend again, and I can’t be happier! 😀 Yay to staying in, catching up on some sleep, but most importantly, it’s time to workout!

I used to exercise 4 times a week, for about half an hour to an hour each day, but ever since I started my full time marketing job, I haven’t been able to commit myself to this schedule anymore due to the late hours and the huge workload. By the time I get home everyday, I really only have time to eat, shower, catch up on a little blogging, and sleep.

This is why it’s so important for me to squeeze in at least one full workout on the weekend because I don’t want to let my health just slowly deteriorate due to my everyday working situation, AKA sitting in front of the computer all day without much movement (and so I don’t feel too guilty about eating that extra chocolate chip cookie for dessert) 😛

But since I’m only limited to 2 days of free time on the weekend, I often times have to workout before going out, and in such cases, I like to wear versatile outfits that are not only great for working out in, but also for going out in.

One of my absolute favorite things to wear whenever I workout are leggings, and these black ones with faux-leather sides are my current favorite! I love how easy they are to move around in, and they’re also super comfy!

The best part is I can pair these leggings with just about anything, so I can just wear a tank when I’m exercising, but after I’m done, I can just change into this comfy, fuzzy jumper that’s perfect for going out in, especially in this chilly LA weather!

I love the details of it, from the blend of white and grey knits to the little pockets on the side! It makes for not only a sporty chic look, it can also look quite cute if paired with black tights and heels (just in case you have somewhere fancy to go after your workout). I love versatile pieces like this because it makes it so easy for me to style different looks that are good for every situation imaginable!

To finish off the look, I wore my current favorite sneakers, my Nike Roshe Ones, which match perfectly with the white, grey, and black color palette of this sporty chic, athleisure outfit. And of course, I can’t forget my trusty Longchamp, which is huge (and not to mention, super convenient because you can fold it up too), so it’s perfect for stuffing in that extra change of clothes that you’ll need after sweating it out!

    • Aww I know what you mean Karen 😦 Ever since I started my full-time job, I’ve been getting home pretty late, but I’m still trying to find time to blog. The weekends are also very helpful for catching up on things haha. And aww wow 6AM? You’re very determined 😀 I must learn from you haha!

    • Haha yes, Tiff, I’ve been loving these sneakers so much because they match with just about anything 🙂 And yes, I’m trying to squeeze it all in, but the full-time marketing world is really so hectic and busy lol! Hope you’re doing well, Tiff! ❤

    • I know what you mean Carmen. A full time job can really cut out such a huge chunk of free time from your day, so that just means we have to work out harder on the weekends to make up for it 🙂 Hehe thank you so much for stopping by love ❤

  2. This is such a helpful post & a great idea! I have always struggled transitioning from my workout clothes into a “normal” outfit. It always had to be a completely different look. But you just enlightened me, girlie 🙂 Leggings are a genius piece that can easily be worn at the gym/uni/office! ❤
