A Sky Blue Winter

Hello everyone! I’m back again, and this time I’ve returned with the first fashion post of the year!

It’s the first week of January, and the weather in Los Angeles has definitely been getting chillier, so most of my days are spent in outfits that consist of sweaters and jeans. Though it can be a bit boring and repetitive, I’ve been trying to keep my ensembles fresh with various scarves, boots, and of course, coats!

One of my absolute favorite ways to dress up any simple outfit is with a good coat because there’s just something about the structure and silhouette of it that manages to pull an ensemble together every time, giving an instant touch of class and chicness.

One of my new favorites these past few weeks has been this sky blue peacoat from Sammydress! For all of who haven’t heard of Sammydress, they’re one of the leading global online wholesale suppliers that specialize in the latest women’s clothing and accessories. They offer a wide range of trendy fashion pieces at an affordable price, and what’s even better is that they ship worldwide too!

And now back to the outfit… Sky blue is such a perfect color for the colder months because the soft pastel shade reminds me so much of a Winter Wonderland! White, silver, and powdery blue are always extra magical in the winter, and I really love how it makes just about any outfit instantly prettier.

Also, the lightweight, peacoat structure makes it a very versatile piece, as it matches with just about anything, from jeans to skirts to dresses. For warmer days, just a sweater and the coat will suffice, but on colder days, like today, I can layer up for warmth before throwing this coat on to finish the ensemble.

Likewise, the double-button front and structured collar adds an air of sophistication to the whole ensemble, making it perfect to dress up a plain sweater-and-jeans combo. With leather boots and a matching scarf, an otherwise simple outfit is instantly elevated, making it not only wearable, but stylish at the same time.

And of course, last but not least, to finish off the whole ensemble, I added the newest addition to my purse collection, this navy blue Kate Spade structured crossbody bag since its structured body matches with the

P.S. A tip for shopping on Sammydress:

  • Shipping depends on the weight of your package, so please keep that in mind when placing your order. The price that’s displayed on the item page is the price of the item alone, not including shipping, so be sure to check out how much your shipping total is before paying.
  • Also, sizes tend to run small (probably because it’s more catered to petite girls in Asia). The coat that I’m wearing in this post is a size XL, though I usually only wear a Small or Medium in regular US sizes. For reference, my height is 5’7” (or 170 cm), and my weight is 105 pounds (or about 48 kg). Please keep this in mind and order accordingly 🙂

Thank you!

    • Thank you so much Tiffany! 🙂 Haha we just got a lot of rain in the past few days too, so it’s good because California’s in a sever drought. And yes, you should definitely visit LA during the winter. It’s very different from how it is in the summer 😛 And London must be really cold right now, right? Stay warm! 🙂 Hope you’re having a great week!

  2. It’s so crazy to me to think of LA as a place where coats and scarves are needed! Every time I’ve been there, it’s been so nice and balmy, but I’m from Chicago, so any chance to not be bundled up in the winter always makes me happy! You look great! I’ve followed you with Blog Lovin! I do hope you’ll connect with me, as well!

    • Haha yes, LA’s actually pretty cold in the winter (usually in the mornings and nights), but definitely not as chilly as Chicago for sure! 🙂 Thank you so much for stopping by and for following me on Bloglovin, love ❤

  3. I always feel like I wear too much black in winter (even though there’s nothing wrong with gorgeous black colour lol) but I always search for that pop of colour or just a little bit of happiness added to my wardrobe in the form of nice spring/summer’y shade 🙂 This little coat is a perfection hon. I love the colour soooo much and it looks stunning on you!
Your outfits are always on point and so inspiring ❤
