December 2015 Favorites

Happy New Year!😀

Can you all believe 2015 is officially over? It’s definitely been a whirlwind of a year, and I’m so excited for 2016! I hope the New Year will bring nothing but great joy, happiness, and health to you all!

To start off the first day of the New Year, I wanted to do a round up of some of my favorite items from December of last year! So without further ado, let’s get started with the first post of 2016!🙂

First up is one of my favorite toners of all time, Innisfree’s Rose Clear Skin. I’ve been loving it even more than usual this past month. My skin’s been a little dry and sensitive due to the cold winter weather, but this gentle toner has been making me feel so refreshed! Plus, it smells so fresh and not at all overbearing.

Next up is my favorite Vitamin E Skin Care Cream from Fruit of the Earth. The dry winter air always makes my hands so dry, but this cream has been an absolute lifesaver. It helps hydrate not only the dry skin of my fingers, but it also helps heal the cracked skin near my nails. I’ve been using this every time after I wash my hands, and it’s made my skin so incredibly soft!

I’ve also been really liking Nature Republic’s Aloe Vera Soothing Gel. For only about $6, you get quite a bit of product, and the soothing gel can be used as a moisturizer or as a sleeping pack even. I love how convenient and easy it is to use, and I know that I’ll be incorporating this into my skincare routine even after the winter months.

I’ve been absolutely in love with Sally Hansen’s Hard as Nails in 470 Unbreakable Heart. This red sparkly nail color is so gorgeous, and it’s just so festive and pretty too! It’s just perfect for Christmas! I love how long this polish lasts, and it doesn’t chip, even after a week and a half of wear. Whether worn alone or even used as the color for French tips, this deep and gorgeous red just makes me hands look so pretty!

As with every Christmas season, who can resist a good old-fashioned red lip? What I love the most about Shiseido’s Sheer Gloss Lipstick in S5 Berry Sheer is how it’s more of a nude red rather than a bright red. Because of my fairer complexion, bright reds can look a little too jarring on me (not to mention is makes me look a little older than I really am). This nude red color is on the deeper and darker side, but it doesn’t add any age to my look. I love how classy and elegant it looks, and I’ve been wearing it so much this holiday season. Though Shiseido doesn’t make this color anymore, there are a variety of similar colors available here.

And last but not least, I’ve been wearing Etude House’s Tear Eye Liner in No. 1 White Tear so much these past few weeks, especially since it’s the holidays, because it just brightens up every look! This Etude House liner a very shimmery and sparkly gel-based eyeliner that is typically used to line the under-eyes for brighter and bigger eyes. The glittery under-eye look is very popular, especially amongst Korean makeup, because it emphasizes the “aegyo-sal” or the fleshy “eye bags” under the eyes, making for a cuter and more youthful look. I personally really like adding this step into my makeup, especially for important events, such as holiday parties, because it really makes my eyes a lot brighter and emphasizes my youth.

That concludes my favorites for December! I hope you all enjoyed my picks as well! How was your Christmas and New Years? Let me know in the comments below! Can’t wait to read about all of your holiday adventures!
