Skies are finally (kind of) grey in California, and we’ve been getting some showers here and there. I love how chilly it’s gotten, and when the skies are cleared after a brief shower of rain, the air is so fresh, the clouds like marshmallows! 🙂
This weather has me living in soft knit sweaters, though nothing too thick yet since it’s not that cold in Los Angeles, so I’ve opted for these thinner alternatives, which are definitely my fall wardrobe staple. Rather than just picking super simple pieces, I gravitate towards v-necklines and asymmetrical hemlines because they’re just so fun to wear and can make an otherwise minimal outfit so chic.
Grey is such a beautiful fall color because it’s neutral, so it’s easy to pair with just about anything. While it may seem boring to others, I find that the color looks amazing during the autumn, especially against the large array of crisp red and orange leaves in the background, making it really pop.
Paired simply with skinny jeans and leather boots, soft knit sweaters are definitely my go-to outfit on my days off, but at the same time, they can be dressed up with a coat for a more put-together look that’s perfect for going out as well!
