A Spin on the Retro Shift

Everyone loves a little retro sometimes, and I’m no exception!

When I first saw this dress and the splice of color at the top, it reminded me so much of shift dresses from the sixties and seventies 🙂

The fresh, vibrant bright pink makes it such a femininely cute yet youthful piece, and I love how comfortable it feels!

Though it’s such a retro dress, I wanted to wear it so that it’s more appropriate for the every day, thus I opted for my favorite pair of sneakers to further play up that fun and youthful vibe!

With a snapback, the whole outfit isn’t too girly, since the soft pinks and whites, as well as the delicate sneakers, make it such a feminine look, but the cap balances that and adds a little more character to it 🙂

This is a look that is definitely school appropriate, since it’s comfortable, as well as functional, perfect for walking around campus and sitting through hours of lectures 🙂

    • Aww thank you so much Nadia 🙂
And yes, it was actually in the upper 90s just yesterday D: Haha in California, we have summer until mid-October! I wish it would cool down soon though 😦
And of course, thank you for always supporting my blog ❤

  1. I love dresses like that, but I’m always scared that I won’t be able to pull them off. 😭 It looks so adorable on you!

I’ve heard of Dresslink before but I’m kind of scared to try it out.

    • Aww I’m sure it’ll look great on you too Alexa! 🙂
And I’d recommend Dresslink only for trend pieces that you’ll wear maybe once or twice. For timeless quality pieces, you should definitely try other sites.
And be careful about their sizing as well (since it’s catered towards more petite body shapes). I’m about 105 lbs/48 kg and 170 cm/5 ft 7 in, but I had to buy size Large for most of their items, though I normally wear US size Small or Medium. Hope this is helpful to you, Alexa! 🙂
Thank you so much for visiting my blog! ❤
