July 2015 Favorites

Wow, I can’t believe it’s already the end of July! Time seems to fly by so fast! We’re already halfway through the year, but I still feel like there’s so much that I haven’t done D:

Haha, do you ever feel like that too? I tend to think I’m doing okay presently, but whenever I look back at the month in retrospect, I always wish I could have been more productive (but then again, maybe that’s just the over-achiever in me) 😀

So with the month’s end, here’s another favorite’s list for you all! Hope you’ll enjoy it! 🙂

Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream Rinse-Off Formula

First off, I’ve been totally in love with this exfoliating scrub! 🙂 It’s very gentle and light, which differs so drastically from the usual exfoliators that I’m used to. The scrub consists of a very finely milled powder that polishes, smooths, and refines skin. It takes away not only roughness, but also flakiness, giving skin a clean canvas that’s ready for ample amounts of moisturizer.

This has been super helpful, especially since it’s been so hot and humid in LA recently. The sweat-filled days mean lots of excess oil, but this exfoliator has been helping me keep my skin clear and fresh! 🙂 I use it about once a week, and it’s a product that I’ve really enjoyed incorporating into my skincare routine!

Victoria’s Secret Noir Tease Travel Body Mist

Next is this lovely body mist from Victoria’s Secret! 🙂 It’s one of my favorite scents because it’s so warm, a perfect mix of black vanilla, frozen pear, and blooming gardenia. On summer days, perfumes can seem a little strong and overbearing in the stuffy weather, but body mists are light enough that the scent won’t give you or anyone else a headache, yet it still makes you smell just as fragrant and sweet.

The thing I love the most about these Victoria’s Secret body mists is that the travel sizes (which you can find by the checkout counter) are only about $10 to $15, so it gives you the option to buy a lot of different scents without really committing to any one. That way, you can really figure out which one you like before purchasing a larger size or even the perfume version 🙂

Pantene Pro-V Ultimate 10 BB Creme

In the summer, I love styling my hair in soft beachy waves, but with a lot of styling comes dried out or stressed hair 😦

However, my mom recently introduced me to this wonderful Pantene hair cream, and it’s been doing such a marvelous job of repairing my split ends and restoring moisture to my hair. With just one small pump, I have an ample amount of product for the ends of my wet hair, and I just massage it in with my fingers after I shower. After applying it, I just leave my hair to air dry in order to maximize all of the cream’s nutritious benefits.

Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion+ Broad Spectrum SPF 50+

Up next on my list is, of course, sunscreen! 🙂 Sunscreen is a summer essential, what with all of the hot rays and the simmering heat. I’ve always been a big fan of Shiseido’s lotion version of their SPF 50+ because it offers ample protection without being too sticky.

I think one of the things that has people avoiding sunscreen a lot is the stickiness or the oiliness that they associate with it. However, this version of Shiseido’s is very light in fragrance, isn’t super oily, and ultimately won’t clog pores. 🙂

I’ve been using this sunscreen for years, and I’ve never had a problem with it! 🙂 I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has an aversion to sunscreen!

Let It Snow: Three Holiday Romances by John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myracle

After two consecutive books that focused on darker and more serious topics, I decided to go with a lighter one this month, and I’m so glad I picked this one up! 🙂

Even though it’s the middle of summer, I really enjoyed this book about winter romances because I felt like I was literally transported to the Christmas season (which, by the way, is my absolute favorite holiday) ❤ There’s just something so happy, warm, and romantic about the colder months!

The book consists of three separate romances, though the worlds of all of the stories are interconnected. It’s a really fun read, with each story having a very distinct voice, and I really enjoyed how well the world is meshed together, even though it’s written by three different authors.

I’d definitely recommend this book, especially for those who are big John Green fans (because I admit that I’m one of them due to The Fault in Our Stars) 🙂

I hope you all enjoyed this month’s favorites! Let me know what you’ve all been enjoying this month as well! 🙂 Thank you so much for stopping by!
