Vintage Lace & Jeans

Lace is so feminine and romantic, but sometimes, when worn alone, it can seem a bit old-fashioned and out-dated.

However, lace that’s incorporated into more trendy pieces, such as crop tops, gives the fabric a more modern and edgy spin. At the same time, it doesn’t forgo the vintage, sweetly-reminiscent-of-another-time-period-feel that lace gives off.

Chosen in an eye-popping powdery baby blue, the pastel color further adds to the overall femininity of the top. Also, the baroque-mesh detailing of the lace overlay gives it such a vintage and romantic feel.

This crop top is really ideal for the summer because the baring midriff allows the skin to be cool, yet the sheerness of the lace cutout at the top gives the whole look a subtly sexy yet sophisticated vibe. Bonus – the fabric allows your skin to breath in the summer heat!🙂

Because I want all of the focus on my top, I paired this outfit with a pair of simple skinny jeans. This way, the whole outfit is a lot more casual.

But if you want to dress it up for a date or even a night out, pairing this top with a skirt can make it a very glamorous yet effortless outfit.

With the zipper detailing on the side of the shirt, this crop top is very easy to slip in and out of.

This top will definitely be a spring and summer staple in my closet! Let me know what you all think about crop tops!🙂 Hope you all enjoyed this OOTD, and I’ll be back again soon!
